As a horticulture student, you will be able to test your skills in a real-life challenge and learn about current urban greening issues in Finland.

The theme of the week is nature-based solutions and the hydrological cycle. This time we will offer you real-life challenges related to vegetated walls/roofs, water management issues and urban forestry, among others.

You may be looking for answers to questions such as:
How to maintain nature-based solutions? How to support hydrological cycles in urban environments?
How do local winter conditions affect the maintenance of green areas?

During the week you will learn about:

• nature-based solutions and how to apply them in practice in urban green areas
• the hydrological cycle and how to take winter conditions into account in green areas
• the Finnish culture and network with students and professionals in the green sector
